Foot Traffic & Access

With the exception of the men's locker room, men's grill, and men's patio area, or the women's lounge and locker room, all members and their families and guests are welcome in all areas of the clubhouse during normal operating hours.

Clubhouse Guidelines

While the new clubhouse rules are intended to instill a more casual atmosphere and to relieve confusion, it is important to remember there are still traditional rules at Arcola that will remain unchanged and enforced by the Board, the Managers, and Staff:

  • Hats are not to be worn backwards and with the exception of the locker room, may not be worn in the clubhouse or in any covered outdoor dining area.
  • Cargo shorts or pants, denim/jean shorts or pants, athletic shorts, or any type of drawstring shorts or pants, and bathing suits are unacceptable attire.
  • Shirts must always be tucked in and worn with a belt.
  • Golf shoes are not allowed inside on the main level, except in the women's locker room.

Cell Phone Usage

Cell phones may be used for brief text or email in any “casual area” of the Clubhouse. Brief cell phone conversations are allowed only in the locker room, the third floor, Member’s Business Center, or in your car in the parking lot. While on the golf course, including the range / practice facilities, all cell phone use {talk, text, email) is prohibited with two exceptions: (1) to report emergencies that occur on club property or (2) to briefly contact a member of the Arcola staff.

Club Policy on Alcohol Service

Appropriate alcohol service should be consistent not only with the law but also with proper decorum.  The Club’s policy shall be to refuse alcoholic beverages to anyone who, in the opinion of the staff on duty, should not be served.  This policy shall apply equally to members and guests.  The staff member’s decision shall not be subject to review.  The Club’s policy is to support its staff in the implementation of this policy on alcohol service.
